Members of Academia Sinica who have library cards at any other institute library of Academia Sinica are granted access to the library collection and can borrow books from the library.
Non-members have access to the library collection, but need to apply via the Nationwide Document Delivery Service (NDDS) for inter-library loans; alternatively, they can apply for an exchange library card (requiring signing of the book exchange agreement) to borrow books from the Institute library.
The “Standard Charges for All Academia Sinica Libraries” was passed at the 69th meeting of the Central Office of Administration and was put into effect starting 1 April 2004.
Silence should be observed in the library. Smoking and eating are prohibited in the library. Backpacks should be put in the lockers and are not allowed into the library area. Please do not leave personal belongings unattended.
Please leave the books on the reading tables or library book carts. Do not put books back on the shelves yourself.
